best in the world
introduction. when we first set out to work on my startup, www.mylinia.com, it was about about helping people fulfill their purpose. we quickly learned that one of the largest barriers to our success was that many people were clueless about their purpose in life (this is a topic for another blog post). like all good marketers we had a choice, eliminate the barrier or choose a different target. although a lofty goal, we chose the former and generated activities and lists of questions to help people identify their purpose (the company has since morphed and is a work in progress). one of the questions developed by my good friend and partner, jullien gordon, stuck with me and i continue to use it as a guiding force for my life and others as i coach them through their quarter life/professional crisis.

what do you want to be best in the world at?
what do you want to be best in the world at? this simple question has the power to be life changing…if you let it. the same question that my employers, clients, and startups face is the same question that every person must answer as well. coincidently, seth godin, whom i have a great deal of respect for, blogged about it the other day as well saying that “you win when you become the best in the world at something.”
so what is this blog going to be about? it’s simple. it’s going to be about winning by becoming the best in the world @_________ (you fill in the blank).
- for you, that means i will do my best to share the stories, tools, insights, thoughts, and inspiration that will help you become the best@ whatever it is you desire.
- for me, that means using this blog to track my journey as I try to become the best at connecting people to brands. (disclaimer: i am heavily into social media right now so watch out)
so…thanks for coming on day whatever this is. before you go, leave your footprint and let me know: what do you want to be best in the world@?
