we are continuously pouring into people and things.  we pour into our jobs.  we pour into our employees.  we pour into our girlfriends.  we pour into our husbands, wives, and children.  we are constantly pouring into everything around us.  and, although it is “better to give than to receive,” you can only pour so much before you become empty.  try as we might, it is extremely hard to get anything of value out of an empty vessel.   in order to maximize your potential you must realize that you cannot do it on your own.  if you are tired, burned out or empty, ask yourself, “who is pouring into you?”
