stop settling and “go hard”
i’m tired. i’m tired of watching people around me settle. i’m tired of listening to friends and loved ones talk about how they are going to settle. no, no one is actually honest enough to use the word “settle,” but they are fooling themselves by saying everything except “i’m settling.” yes, it’s a tough economy. yes, the american public has reduced their spending. yes, jobs are hard to find. and, yes, mr/mrs. right is probably not waiting outside of your house. however, we must understand that, no one ever reached their maximum potential by settling. settling cannot be an option.
in order to do my part, i’m launching a “go hard” movement. what does it mean to “go hard?” well, you can check out the definition here. essentially, those who join this movement are making a commitment to “go hard” despite their current circumstances. we recognize that going hard is critical to success, especially if you are in your dip, which i believe many of us are. we are making a commitment to stand, fight, and push the limits in order to follow our passions, be the best in the world, build upon our strengths, and ultimately reach our maximum potential.
how do you participate in the movement? simply, “go hard” and let the world know. everyday you “go hard” use #gohard on your twitter and facebook or leave your “go hard” comments here on this blog. when it’s midnight and you are still at work…don’t settle, #gohard. when it’s month 5 and you still don’t have a job…don’t settle #gohard. when you know something ain’t quite right with the girl you’re dating…don’t settle, #gohard. when the work is okay but not great and your body is feeling sleepy…don’t settle, #gohard.
the only question to answer is:
how are you going hard today?
