the cost of settling

oftentimes, when we contemplate settling we only think about the immediate benefits. but we ignore the fact that the short-term gain comes with long-term consequences. we forget that while we are settling for ms. wrong, we are missing out on opportunities to meet mr. right. while we settle for that job, we are forfeiting the necessary time it takes to network, search, and get the job that is truly aligned with our passions and strengths. while we settle for going to law school because our parents want us to, we lose three years of investing in ourselves in ways that will make us stronger and differentiate us from the pack (all for the simple price of $150K). while we settle for doing subpar, we miss out on the opportunity to push ourselves to greatness and to show the world, and ourselves, what we can really do. settling seems easy now, but you will pay in the long run. don’t settle, go hard!

how are you going hard today?

Detavio your words are right on time. Today I went hard by starting my day with inspiration – and followed it up with real research. The most trying part of a music career (for me) is the solitary work. Reading your posts have challenged me to ignore my temporary discomfort for long-lasting satisfaction. Bravo!
