surprise and delight

love seth’s quick post.  do you want to surprise and/or delight people?  you should want to do both!  most people and most brands choose to do neither.  when is the last time your customers, interviewers, or boss was surprised and delighted by you?  if you’re not doing it, it’s a good chance your competition is.

update: a great example of an individual who surprises and delights her customers on a daily basis dropped today.  mary moss is a mcdonald’s employee who has a bigger following than the mcdonald’s where she is currently employed; she even has her own facebook page.  her ability to surprise and delight customers has built both her brand, as well as mcdonald’s.
