if you don’t know yet, i am applying to be a professional blogger for sam-e/nature-made (if you haven’t voted today, please do!) in order to remind people to vote i have been sending out constant updates on twitter and facebook. this type of self-promotion and interruption marketing goes against everything i believe in but i needed time to develop a better solution. as a true believer in marketing w/ meaning, i wanted to find something that would “add value” for you to our interactions.
the answer: “fortune reminders.”
the what: if you subscribe to get frequent reminders from me to vote, every time you open an email from me there will be something for you. it may be a funny video, a great commercial, new music, etc. it’s kind of like a fortune cookie. you won’t know what’s there until you get it and open the email. i will attempt to send these out daily; however, if i don’t have something for you, you won’t receive anything from me.
the when: from now until november 6th
the how: place your email in the box below. on november 7th i will inform you of the outcome and stop using the list
does this mean i won’t be emailing, tweeting or facebooking for votes? not completely, but it does mean i can shift the majority of what i do back to sharing meaningful ideas and content instead of just asking for help.
