very very powerful message here tav, and it's also very timely as we embark on a new year. i will be taking your advice on this one
Powerful message, Tavio!
You really need your own talk show!
Toyin
Dope, dope, dope!
This is the mentality that led me to start my own little shop. I have eight years and running! The one caveat I would issue : This does not apply to people (in most instances).
This concept also embodies my view of marriage. In that I've thrown the concept of divorce out the window. It's just not an option. Only in the most extreme cases would I get a divorce. I believe in exhausting all avenues first.
Excellent Detavio! To succeed, we have to remind ourselves to keep moving forward and get out of our “comfort zone”… there is no turning back. Just like in the days of Julius Caesar where he ordered the boat burned so that the soldiers' mind set was to conquer or perish…
A very powerful message for those of us who have a “safe option”. Pursuing dreams is never safe, never easy. But I believe that having my back against the wall is a good thing. I'm lighting the bridge on fire as we speak…
Love the post and love the spontaneity of the moment of the post. Go hard or go home. If it's worth doing, why not do it all the way. Not looking/turning back and “burning that bridge” takes it to the ultimate level. Thanks for this post.
@claudia – it's been a month. any new updates?
@toyin – my own talk show, huh? i'll think about it. got any hookups? ha
@kissmyblackads ~ i love applying the concept to marriage. i will definitely do the same thing when i get there. it's the only way to go. and yes, you're right, the thought doesn't often apply to people. that why i used the title, most people would expect i was talking about people (and w/ that in mind the question is counter-cultural) but i wasn't.
@al ~ great example, i wish i would have thought of it while i was writing.
@marlissa ~ this is you all the way! i know you personally and am celebrating you because, like @kissmyblackads, you have done a good job living this life!
@adler ~ thanks for the thoughts man, you're welcome and thank you!
