redefining #gohard
i started using the #gohard hashtag in twitter again. i figured it was time for a resurgence because the attitude had died down. or so i thought. when i did a quick twitter search i found countless uses of #gohard that ranged from disrespecting someone to acknowledging how good something is. even more reason to bring it back. the world is in need of a definition that is more meaningful. and while i encourage you to define #gohard for youself, i will offer at least one definition/purpose of the phrase that originated on this blog over a year ago.
the dictionary defines hard as being: “unyielding to pressure and impenetrable;” “involving a great deal of effort, energy, or persistence;” and vigorous or violent in force. so then to #gohard is to put action behind the definition. if you are going to invest a tremendous amount of energy in accomplishing something. why not let it be something meaningful like your dreams, goals, and passions? Why not pour your heart and soul into it something you love until there is nothing left – and then after that’s done, pour a little more?
so it’s time to chase our dreams. to set new goals. to chase the vision we have in regards to our life. and that means it’s time to #gohard. here are the five four goals i’ve decided to go hard on in the month of june?
- i will lead my teams to deliver big ideas to each one of my clients.
- i have an idea for an apparel store, which i will launch.
- i have an idea that is specific to christians – i will develop it and establish the foundational tools to allow it to live.
- i will talk to the core members of my family each week at least once (pitiful, right? but i just got in trouble yesterday for this)
- (i thought i had a fifth but can’t remember it)
will you join me? what goals will you accomplish in the month of june? want a more active way of joining the movement? get you #gohard t-shirts here.
