have you lost your muchness?

“you used to be much more…”muchier.” you’ve lost your muchness.”

–quote from mad hatter to alice in alice in wonderland

our muchness is always under attack. it’s a simple but unfortunate truth as much of what makes us muchier is also what makes us unique.  it’s what makes us special and different.   and unfortunately, what makes us special and different is often not celebrated or protected in a society that often values conformity when it comes to success and happiness.

we are coached to follow one particular path.  we are mentored and encouraged to fix our weaknesses rather than focus on our strengths.  we are forced to grow up and stop dreaming…imagining…thinking.  and the next thing you know, we wake up at age (insert your age here), no longer knowing how to listen to our own hearts, and are forced to recognize that we have lost much of our muchness.  and we pay for it daily-from the once simple thoughts and answers to questions (like what do you love, what are you passionate about) that have now become overly complex and difficult to generate to the fact that we are just less happier and less successful living a life trying to be someone that we are not.

have you lost your muchness?  chances are, the answer is yes.  but it doesn’t mean it has to stay that way.  it doesn’t mean you have to continue being less muchier than you used to be – were designed to be.  the fight to get it back and retain it, can start today, if you choose. otherwise you can settle for being less muchier than you used to be.
