how do you measure life?

we journey our way through life.  sometimes pushing, sometimes crawling, sometimes running, sometimes inching through it all.  but for what?  what is it we hope to accomplish?  what is it all for?  how will we know we have been successful in our lives?  my question to you today is: how are you measuring life?  how will you know that you did what you came here to do?

  • do you measure it by how happy you are or by how happy your audience is with you?
  • do you measure it by the dreams you have or the dreams you’ve enabled?
  • do you measure it by the weight of your body or the weight of your impact?
  • do you measure it by the title you have or the change you’ve created while in the job?
  • do you measure it by the breathes you’ve taken or, as hilary cooper advises, by how many breathes you’ve taken away?
  • do you measure it by how much money you make – or have you adopted a multiple bottomline approach?
  • do you measure it by how much love you get or by how much love you give away?

there are countless ways to measure life; how are you measuring yours?  i’m interested to find out.  leave your comments below…
